2013 Hammett Prize Nominees Announced

The North American Branch of the International Association of Crime Writers (IACW/NA) has announce the nominees for the 2013 Hammett Prize for a work of literary excellence in the field of crime writing by a US or Canadian author. The nominees are as follows:

DEFENDING JACOB, by William Landay (Delacorte)

TRUTH LIKE THE SUN, by Jim Lynch (Knopf)

OREGON HILL, Howard Owen (Permanent)

PATIENT NUMBER 7, by Kurt Palka (McCelland & Stewart)

ALIF THE UNSEEN, by G. Willow Wilson (Emblem/Canada; Grove/US)

The winner will be announced during the New Atlantic Independent Booksellers Association (NAIBA) Fall Conference, in Somerset, New Jersey, September 30-October 2.
